Michael has experience in many aspects of the financial service industry. After graduating in 1980 from the University of South Dakota and receiving a degree in Business Administration, he moved to Denver and worked as a Securities Administrator with Lincoln Trust Co. He was then promoted to Corporate Account Executive and given additional responsibilities. Michael then accepted a position with Compusys of Colorado/Pension Benefit Services, Inc. as Manager of Pension Services where he administered several million dollar retirement programs. He relocated from Denver to Silverthorne in 1989 and worked for Copper Mountain, Inc. as a Revenue Accountant. While at Copper Mountain he began to do bookkeeping functions for small clients in Summit County. As a result Summit Bookkeeping & Payroll was established in 1991. The business has grown over the years to include many types of businesses; Home Owners Associations, Professional Service Companies, Retail businesses, Churches, Non-profit organizations and Governmental organizations.
